Celina called Chinki at home, is a B Com graduate and excellent in a few computer courses done from NIIT. She loves to surf on the net and is very computer savvy. Once upon a time she was interested in joining the Indian Army like her father and brother who are in the Indian Army and was preparing for Combined Defense Services examinations. She also wanted to be a doctor and was infact declared best science student in junior high school. Celina participated in the beauty contest in Kolkata and won the beauty pageant there and thus started her career in modelling world.
Celina is a girl who has her priorities clear. And even though her predecessors have all talked about doing something for the needy and children, when Celina expresses her desire to work with the UN on issues like health and children, she comes across as genuine. Also, when one sees her quietly handing over chocolates to the Gujarat earthquake-hit children being treated at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, it´s difficult to take it as publicity stunt.
