Indrani wanted to be a lawyer but the world of fashion was more interesting and intriguing and so she decided that she would be a model. Fashion for her is the most important thing in any person's life because it defines an individual from the next.
Indrani loves to walk the ramp and has participated in many modelling shows for designers like Ritu Kumar, J J Vallaya, Rocky S etc. She has also participated in The Lakme India Fashion Show for a host of fashion designers including Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Aki Narula, Rocky S, J J Vallaya and Monisha Bajaj.

She is a 5’ 6” tall beauty and she married Sohail Khan and they have a son named Arhan. Malaika is the sister of actress Amrita Arora.
